Improving the life of under privileged through development & training

Social Welfare and Research Association (SWARA) was formed in 1996 with the main objective to organize, develop and train under privileged and poor people to improve their position in the society through economic activities. It has focused its activities mostly towards upliftment of women and child development. Efforts are being made to utilize existing resource for improving health, education and economic status of people (mainly women and children) below poverty line.

The society has covered about 220 women and 90 children in the last three years under the above programs. SWARA has always worked to promote welfare activities for economically handicapped women by starting such institutions and activities where they can get employment and training for their independent career. It has been involved in providing basic education and training to under privileged people, especially women, to make them self-dependent and economically stable so that they can command their due respect in society.

SWARA has also worked towards other social issues like AIDS awareness, environmental awareness, consumer awareness, legal awareness, cultural programs, youth festivals, rural development etc.

We plan to get associated with more organisations working in similar lines and promoting similar activities and double the number of beneficiaries benefitting from such projects in the coming years.
